General questions
Are your estimates really free?
Yes. We come out, inspect your roof, take photos and give you a clear written estimate at no cost and with no pressure.
Are you licensed in Nevada?
Yes. Alpha Roofing LLC holds Nevada contractor license #0095592. You can verify it with the Nevada State Contractors Board.
Do you offer a warranty?
Yes. We back every job, repair or replacement, with our workmanship warranty, in addition to any manufacturer warranty on the materials.
What types of roofs do you work on?
All types: standing seam and panel metal, concrete tile, composition shingle, torch down flat roofs and silicone coatings, for both residential and commercial buildings.
How much does a new roof cost?
It depends on the size and pitch of your roof, the material you choose and the condition of the deck underneath. We give you an honest, itemized estimate and walk you through options at different price points.
Do you offer payment options?
Ask us. We are happy to talk through payment options and do our best to make your project work for your budget.
Can I choose my roof color and material?
Absolutely. We bring samples so you can see the choices in person and pick the look that is right for your home.
What areas do you serve?
We are based in Sun Valley and serve Reno, Sparks, Carson City, Dayton, Fernley, Fallon, Minden, Gardnerville and communities throughout Northern Nevada.
Questions about specific services
How long does a roof replacement take?
Most homes are completed in 1 to 4 working days depending on size, pitch, material and weather. Tile and metal roofs usually take longer than shingles. We give you a schedule with your estimate.
How fast can you come out for a leak?
Call 775-399-2917. We prioritize active leaks and will get a tarp or temporary fix in place as quickly as we can while we plan the permanent repair.
Is a metal roof noisy when it rains?
With solid decking and underlayment beneath, a metal roof on a home is typically no louder than other roofs.
How long does a concrete tile roof last?
The tiles themselves can last many decades. Underlayment typically needs replacing sooner, which is why lift and relay is a common and cost-effective service.
How long will a shingle roof last in Reno?
A quality architectural shingle roof, installed and ventilated properly, typically lasts 20 to 30 years in our climate.
How long does a torch down roof last?
A properly installed torch down roof typically lasts 15 to 20 years or more, and a silicone coating can extend that further.
How long does a silicone roof coating last?
Depending on the product and thickness applied, a silicone coating typically protects for 10 to 20 years and can often be recoated later.
Do you work with general contractors?
Yes. We regularly work as the roofing subcontractor for builders and GCs. Send us plans and we will turn around a bid.
Can you add a skylight to my existing roof?
Yes, in most shingle, tile and metal roofs. We check framing and attic space and recommend the right size and placement.
Do you work on warehouses and multifamily buildings?
Yes. We handle commercial, industrial and multifamily roofing across Reno, Sparks, Fernley and the surrounding region.
